When do we use good or well? These too words are commonly misused. Good is an adjective and well is an adverb. Some examples of incorrect uses of well and good are: "I scored good on my spelling test" and "the new car runs good." In both these sentences, well should be used instead of good. "Good" modifies nouns and pronouns. "Well" modifies adjectives, verbs, and other adverbs. Do you now understand when to use good and when to use well in a sentence?

I don't know that I've ever thought specifically about when to use "well" and when to use "good." After reading your post I see they really are different parts of speech.
It was a GOOD explanation and I would be WELL to take your advice.
